Inspiring the Next Generation of Creators

Last week the Norse Sky team had the incredible pleasure of visiting Crossflatts Primary School, thanks to an invitation from the forward-thinking team at Own Future. Cathy and Natasha talked to Year 5 students about what we do as a creative design and build company – turning initial concepts into larger than life sculptures that bring theme parks, experiences, and events to life.

As part of the workshop, we gave a live demonstration in how we design and sculpt character models for themed attractions. But the real stars of the day were the pupils. We challenged them with the fictional brief of creating a one eyed monster, inspired by Nemesis of Alton Towers! The students dove into their clay and imagination, crafting their own wild, weird, and wonderful creature sculptures.

Every model showed off a brilliant mix of creativity, individuality, and fearless design – just what the theme park industry needs ! A massive thanks to Own Future for making this happen, and to the students and staff at Crossflatts Primary School for the warm welcome. We left feeling inspired by the next generation of storytellers and world-builders.

Maintenance

We are committed to providing our clients with the highest quality products and services. We are confident that we can create a retail display that will help you to achieve your marketing goals.

Here are some examples of our work:

We worked with Haribo to create an engaging window display featuring a stylized factory ‘machine’ that produces over-sized Haribo sweets! Utilising our design team, in-house CNC capability, fabrication and audio-visual departments, the finished display attracts passing visitors directly to the store, taking their picture with the machine and ultimately increasing foot-flow into the store, driving engagement with the product and the brand identity.

Laura’s Confectionery approached us to create a series of whimsical displays featuring sculpted trees and printed foliage in their brand colours to compliment their retail spaces. The display was a hit with customers, helping to increase dwell-time instore, elevating the brand aesthetic, especially across social media, ultimately increasing sales by driving traffic into the store.

We engaged with Healey’s Cyder Farm to design, fabricate and install a series of high quality free-standing retail displays and integrated product displays for their Brand Experience Room. Combining joinery, metalwork, display graphics, large format poly-carved sculpture, GRP, themed interactive and audio-visual displays as part of the shopfitting package, we created a themed environment that elevated each of Healey’s brands. The project focussed on increasing customer engagement, providing informative content about the brand, it’s rich history, and a series of photo opportunities for social media sharing.

If you are looking for a retail display that will create excitement and inspire customers, contact Norse Sky today. We would be happy to discuss your individual project requirements and create a display that is perfect for you.

Let’s create something amazing together!

Seven Years of Workshop Life!

On the 2nd May 2016 we moved into our very first workshop – that was seven years ago! How things have changed since that very first brew in Dalton Mill, Keighley.

We never imagined that in seven years we would out-grow four workshops and build, ship and install projects as far away as China, the USA, UAE and Saudi Arabia, or complete multiple projects for over 165 clients, working with some of the biggest brands, companies and destinations in the world, whilst developing a talented and amazing team along the way!

New Website!

It’s taken some time (and lots of effort) but we have managed to get together some great pictures from our recent projects and give much more insight into what we do here at Norse Sky.

We’re proud of our work and we love the challenges that our clients bring to us. Have a look around and let us know what you think! If you see anything you like or would like to discuss your next project, just pick up the phone, send an email or drop in and we would be very happy to see how we can help.
