About Us
Norse Sky Ltd offers creative design and build services to
the Attraction, Theatre, TV & Film industries.
Founded in 2015
Following a successful early career earning his stripes in the playground, adventure structure and climbing wall industry, Christian founded Norse Sky in 2015, and worked tirelessly as set builder / prop maker by day and designer by night.
As the workload increased, the support of talented friends and family allowed Christian to get his foot in the door and win small build and refurbishment works for local attractions and theatres.
In 2016 Christian went all in and found Norse Sky a permanent home in the pump house of Dalton Mill. The grade II Victorian textile mill turned out to be Keighley’s best kept secret, regularly used for a number of high profile TV and film productions. Norse Sky soon became the “get out of jail free card” for visiting production companies, providing Christian and the team a deep dive into the world of screen production.
“At our core, we are creative problem solvers. The crazier the idea, the better. Surprise us, we love it!”
Christian Turford
Over the next 4 years Norse Sky built a reputation for reliability, quality and creative problem solving. As the number of happy customers grew, so did the scale and complexity of the projects.
Roll on to 2020 which, although challenging, was a year of growth at Norse Sky, expanding the team and moving to a new 6,500 sq ft studio in North Yorkshire.
Today, Norse Sky has an extensive portfolio, spanning multiple industries and continents with a fully equipped production facility and the skills to match. Our talented team specialise in all aspects of scenic construction, art and prop making. From the initial design through to manufacture, installation and refurbishment. We pride ourselves on the work we do and welcome any challenge.
